We Believe Training Night: How to Understand, Honor and Love Your Neighbor In The Midst of Specific Disagreement With The Mind and Heart of Christ.
In Jesus we find hope and truth - are you equipped and eager to bring that hope and truth to your neighbors with the joy of Christ?
You’ve seen the yard signs, you’ve heard the positions in the media, you have struggled with aspects yourself, so what is a faithful Christian response to the current convictions and values of our day? Trinity Church PCA of Hudsonville desires to train Christians in biblical, clear, charitable and helpful thinking to better engage, serve, love and honor those who hold a different worldview.
Based on The Secular Creed (published by The Gospel Coalition) by Rebecca McLaughlin, this training night will help Christians better understand a secular worldview with clarity, charity and an unwavering biblical conviction. If we truly love our neighbors, one aspect of that love will be the explanation and offer of a Christ-centered view on the most pressing issues of the day.
Our time together will raise the level of communication and interaction between conflicting worldviews to help you surpass soundbites, debates, cheap tactics, illogical communication and other common destructive methods used in unproductive communication. We love all our neighbors, and our desire is to honor and serve all people even in the midst of clear disagreements.
You will be trained in a Christ-centered understanding in at least the following topics from the popular yard signs:
Science is Real
Black Lives Matter
Love Is Love/LGBTQIA+
Feminism Is For Everyone/Women’s Rights Are Human Rights
No Human Being is Illegal
Climate Change Concerns
